Recall that on April 7th, Dr. Aminu Yakubu, a Daura based private medical practitioner, who recently returned from Lagos to the state, died three days after his return. His blood sample was taken to the NCDC office in Abuja for examination and it was confirmed he was positive for Coronavirus. Thirteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported POSTED BY  Chdozie A.  ON APRIL 11, 2020 In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, fourteen new cases have been reported as of Saturday evening, April 11th by the National Centre for Disease Control. In a new update on their Twitter page, the NCDC reports that there’s seventeen new cases in Lagos, Delta and Kano. Coronavirus: Kano confirms first index case

By  Chidozie A. Apr 11, 2020 17:18 PM  Kano state  governor, Abdullahi Ganduje. Kano state on Saturday confirmed the index case of coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19 in the state. The State Commissioner of Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, who confirmed the case, could not give detail of the patient. However, he assured that detail of the case would be released at the end of the emergency meeting by the Kano State Task Force Committee on COVID-19. Daily Trust learnt that the the task force committee is currently meeting with stakeholders in its efforts to contain the situation. Sanwo-Olu in a tweet, said it’s “fake news” and advised people to celebrate Easter “at home” with family. He wrote: “The true meaning of #GoodFriday and #Easter is the power of sacrifice. EFCC reacts to U.S Senator’s allegation of Ibrahim Magu being an 'agent of oppression'

In a letter dated April 1 and addressed to the Chief Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section of the U.S. Department of Justice Deborah Connor, Grassley stated that the Buhari-led administration has a high record of human right violations as he also cited a Bloomberg report which "exposed" how the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu helped Mr Abacha launder billions of naira. The 86-year-old Republican who appealed to the US department of justice to stop the repatriation of all funds to Nigeria, also accused the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and Mr Magu of being “agents of oppression of Mr Buhari’s political opponents.” The letter reads in part;   “In 2014, the Isle of Jersey, a British dependency seized more than $320m laundered by the corru...
