The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has disputed news that the Coronavirus lockdown order has been relaxed in Lagos to enable residents to partake in Easter festivities.

Sanwo-Olu in a tweet, said it’s “fake news” and advised people to celebrate Easter “at home” with family.

He wrote: “The true meaning of #GoodFriday and #Easter is the power of sacrifice. This weekend, the sacrifice of staying at home and social distancing is required to stop the spread of #COVID19. Avoid fake news, the lockdown hasn’t been lifted. Think longterm, #StayAtHomeAndStaySafe.”
