The acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei, fainted on Monday during an investigative hearing at the National Assembly. Pondei collapsed where he was seated as members of the House Committee on NDDC grilled him. The committee had grilled him for about 45 minutes before he passed out. Pondei has been rushed out of the Conference Room 231, venue of the investigative hearing on illegal spending and mismanagement of funds in the commission. The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, however, stayed behind. Members of the committee are still debating whether to suspend the hearing or not. Thirteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported POSTED BY  Chdozie A.  ON APRIL 11, 2020 In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, fourteen new cases have been reported as of Saturday evening, April 11th by the National Centre for Disease Control. In a new update on their Twitter page, the NCDC reports that there’s seventeen new cases in Lagos, Delta and Kano.
