1337  BREAKING: Nigeria records 64 new cases of COVID-19, total now 1337  ON APRIL 27 By  CHIDOZIE O The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday confirmed 64 new cases of COVID-19 outbreak in the country, bringing the total number of infections in Nigeria to 1337. The centre said no deaths were recorded in Nigeria in the last 24 hours and no new state has reported a case. “On the 27th of April 2020, 64 new confirmed cases and no deaths were recorded in Nigeria ” No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours. “Till date, 1337 cases have been confirmed, 255 cases have been discharged and 40 deaths have been recorded in 32 states and the Federal Capital Territory The 64 new cases are reported from five states- Lagos (34), FCT (15), Borno (11), Taraba (2), Gombe (2).

A zebra at the Chyulu Hills National Park in Kenya was spotted with tiny foal by a Zebra’s side. It had stripes, but they weren’t dark and barely covered her body. When the staff at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust inspected the foal, they discovered it wasn’t a zebra, but a Zonkey. Emeka who was a private medical practitioner, died today April 15, at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital isolation ward. POSTED BY  CHIDOZIE O.   ON APRIL 14, 2020 In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, Nineteen new cases have been reported as of Tuesday evening, April 14th by the National Centre for Disease Control. In a new update on their Twitter page, the NCDC reports that there’s seventeen new cases in Lagos, FCT, Kano, Akwa Ibom, and Edo. According to the governor, a total of eight people which includes 2 females and 6 males have tested negative twice for the virus and have been discharged from the isolation centre and sent back to their families. The Governor took to his Twitter page to share the good news writing, More great news today from our Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. 8 more people; 2 females and 6 males have tested negative and fully recovered from #COVID19. The European Union has given Nigeria €50 million to fight the coronavirus disease which has killed at least 10 people in the West African country. The donation was announced when the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), received in audience the EU Delegation at the Council Chambers, State House, Abuja on Tuesday. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, made this known via a tweet. Adesina said Head of the EU delegation at the event, Amb Ketil Karlsen, who announced the donation, also commended Buhari for extending Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja lockdown. Karlsen was quoted as describing Buhari’s address to the nation on Monday as “powerful”, adding that the retired general took bold and necessary measures. “EU gives Nigeria a grant of 50 million Euro to fight COVID-19,” Adesina tweeted.
