Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has announced that his fiance Chioma has tested positive for the new coronaviru s. Chioma, according to Davido, recently returned from the United Kingdom with their baby. The baby tested negative, the singer said. Unfortunately, my fiancé’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby. We are however doing perfectly fine and she is even still yet to show any symptoms whatsoever. She is now being quarantined and I have also gone into full self isolation for the minimum 14 days.

It is no longer news that  Mallam Abba Kyari , Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has tested positive to the coronavirus disease. This information got into the public domain on Tuesday, 24th March, 2020. Amidst best wishes and prayers for him to quickly recover and emerge healthy from the infection, there are fresh worries about the number of persons who might have come in contact with Mallam Kyari and might have been exposed to the infection and likely to test positive. Top on the list is the President himself, Muhammadu Buhari. Luckily, it is understood that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has  given the President a clean bill of health .
